What is Libertarianism?
Libertarians believe that both natural law and our Constitution guarantee Americans the right to live our lives the way we wish, free from government interference,
as long as we respect the right of others to do the same.

Libertarians advocate:
Individual Rights * Small Government * Free Markets * Peace

Where do you fit on the political map?

Liberals want the government to be your Mommy.
Conservatives want government to be your Daddy.
Libertarians want it to treat you like an adult.

The ideas of libertarianism are growing in popularity, because Americans are beginning to understand that our government has become far too powerful and pervasive, resulting in numerous problems:

  • The War on Terror and the War on Drugs cost billions, erode our privacy and rights, and make the world hate us
  • Social Security is doomed and will crush younger workers under its burden
  • Taxes and regulations rob us of half of what we earn, reduce available jobs and lead to more Americans living in poverty
  • Welfare programs have failed the poor
  • Health care laws make health insurance unaffordable for many Americans
  • Government has become a “nanny state” that tells us what to do (wear seat belts) and what not to do (smoke, eat junk food -- the list is endless), as if we are all children

Libertarian policies can greatly reduce all of these problems. Learning about these ideas can open your eyes to how great our nation could be for Americans from all walks of life.
